Eleven-year-old Caden Harris from Atlanta, Georgia, recently bought a 54-seat passenger bus that he plans to utilize as a mobile center for teaching financial literacy to kids.
According to Black Business, Harris’ parents have been his biggest supporters. They have nurtured his passion and aided him in launching his first business at only seven years old.
The following year they supported him in writing his first book when he was eight. After purchasing the bus, he is raising funds to convert it into a mobile unit to teach financial literacy and visit schools to promote a money educational experience for area youth.
At a young age, Harris has been able to learn a great deal about financial literacy. So much so that he’s even created products to aid kids in teaching them about financial literacy.
Harris is fundraising and offering sponsorships opportunities for any business that supports his mission of teaching the youth about money management. Companies and sponsors would be promoted as Harris’ bus would display their logos, he would sport t-shirts and other promotional products for them.

Harris’ GoFundMe page reads, “I’m Caden Harris from Atlanta, Ga, the CEO of my very own financial learning business for kids. My dream is to have a mobile financial learning center for kids. I have already saved enough money to purchase my bus with products that I created and sold. With this bus, I will go around to schools and events to teach financial literacy in a fun interactive way.”
The statement continues, “The bus will have learning activities, tablets, TVs, and interactive learning experiences. Schools and events would have the bus come out to give students a memorable financial lesson. There are stem buses around, but there aren’t buses teaching financial literacy, which is the best tool we can learn to ensure we have a secure future. With your donations, I will use the money to go towards graphically wrapping the vehicle, purchasing tablets for the bus and mechanic work. I will also remodel the inside of the bus to fit the optimal learning experience for all kids.”
Several organizations have reached out to support Harris, including schools, youth church groups, and other clubs that provide him with a platform to pursue his passion for teaching financial literacy to kids.
