Her endeavors don’t end there, though. Benaisha owns a federal charter bank – listed as a direct lender of Prime One Home Loans.

Black Enterprise reported that the savvy entrepreneur’s upbringing was an obstacle she had to overcome. Born to a Guatemalan immigrant mother and a Black father in Los Angeles, the future top realtor was exposed to gang violence, drug deals and loss as she grew up.

Despite the challenges, she graduated high school early and with honors. She received degrees in public administration, criminal justice and political management from George Washington University. She pursued a law degree and then fought for nine years in the US Air Force, all while raising a child and working full time.

Her resilience drives her business in The Bailey Watson Real Estate Group. In an interview with Voyage Dallas, she was asked about how she dealt with things being difficult as a business owner.

“We have faced various challenges in our business, but we always look at those obstacles as opportunities for learning and betterment. Just balancing being a mother, a wife, and an entrepreneur can bring a number of challenges. That means creating a schedule that forces effective balance, holding each other accountable and understanding that SUCCESS all depends on the second letter U!”

“Always remember to lead your commitments with integrity and move with strategy that grows you, which also includes being mindful of the things you say and post on social media, as well as the energy you put out.”

She continued by listing the essential traits for staying successful in the business industry, “Being a forward thinker is a mandatory attribute of a leader in business. Staying marketable, relatable and connected to what is relevant while demonstrating innovative ideas and visions will help keep you ahead of the pack. This will ensure you stay ahead of future curves and natural shifts that WILL occur because, in business, things are always evolving and changing. If you don’t wake up feeling like you need to go harder, then you need to evaluate what you are doing because every day is a day for learning and teaching someone something new.”

She asserted that building a brand and prioritizing the business is critical.

“While building a brand, you will be busy. Some of the things you used to do and places you used to go, you will no longer be able to and to keep it real, it will be because you don’t fit into that space anymore. That’s the elevation! That’s the growth!”

She added, “This will all be a direct result of your persistency to get where you are trying to go; however, it will be your consistency that will keep you there. Some like to say never settle for less, but we like to tell our team members to always settle for MORE! Even when you don’t see the whole staircase take those steps, fearing regret only and not failure. Surround yourself with people who see the magic in you (that positivity is necessary in brand building), know that every day you wake up is another day to climb higher and push harder, and keep that self-motivating grind and momentum going, and that will make it possible to overcome any obstacle, every time.

As the only Black woman in leadership apart of the Member of National Association of Real Estate Brokers, she’s known to be “a renowned speaker centered around women’s Interests, real estate, mortgages and lending.”
