The Wade quadruplets, who each received scholarships to Yale University, have graduated together. Aaron, Nick, Nigel and Zach Wade decided to attend Yale together after being accepted into Harvard, Duke, Yale, Stanford and more than 50 other universities in 2017.

People Magazine reported that the 22-year-old quadruplets graduated in May. The brothers from Liberty Township, Ohio, became famous for being high-achievers and accepted into many schools. Aaron double majored in computer science and psychology. Zach was also a double major and received degrees in chemical engineering and economics. Nigel studied molecular, cellular and developmental biology, and Nick got a degree in political science and a minor degree in Arabic.

The brothers were able to carve out their own identities at Yale as they earned their multiple degrees. Nick said that the four were always together in high school and knew all of the same people. The brothers also yearned for their own identities, and Aaron said that the brothers could become individuals in college.

“In high school, we all knew the same people. So in a sense, that didn’t allow us to divert as much as we might’ve wanted to,” Nick said. “But in college, because there’s so many different types of people, and we had so many different diverse interests, I think we were able to carve our paths in our own way.”

“We grew up in this town where we had always existed as The Quads or the Wade brothers. But when we got to Yale, it was very much small fish in a big pond,” said Aaron. “Nobody really knew who we were. I feel that when people met me at Yale, they met Aaron Wade, as opposed to one of the quadruplets.”

Nick works in New York City at Goldman Sachs. Nigel plans on staying in New Haven, Connecticut, for a Parkinson’s disease lab two-year research program. He will then apply to medical school. Zach will also work at Goldman Sachs but in San Francisco. Aaron, who technically has one semester left, is also staying in New Haven to finish his thesis but could participate in the graduation ceremony with his brothers. Aaron will also be living in New York and will work at Google.

Aaron is also a talented musician and the musical director of an a-cappella group at Yale. Nigel said that although the brothers didn’t see each other much on campus, they felt comfortable knowing they were all there.

“It’s a safety net that you already always know is there, and you know you’ll always have people to support you,” said Nigel. “There’s probably no one else on the planet who understands me better than my brothers. You know that there’s someone who’s going to be in your corner.”
