The Better Business Bureau (BBB) has issued a consumer warning for Chef Darius ‘Cooks’ Williams.
On May 19, Williams’ Georgia-based business, DariusCooks, LLC, received a consumer warning regarding its business practices.
According to the BBB, Darius Cooks, LLC has received excessive customer complaints.
“Specifically, consumers report not receiving refunds for products that they have returned,” the statement reads. “Consumers also report that they are not receiving refunds for products that were never received with their orders and are not receiving replacement products as requested. Consumers advise that when they contact the business regarding these issues, the business acknowledges the request but then fails to respond to further inquiries about their refunds.”

With over 100 customer complaints, one customer noting issues with the product or service stated, “I requested a refund for a Dutch Oven I ordered because it did not meet my expectations. I was provided the return instructions, of which I followed. I called to check in, and they informed me that they did not receive the package. I filed a claim with the post office and discovered that package had been delivered to an individual. I emailed the company again, only to be sent a generated email with the return instructions again. I continued to email, and they told me they did not receive the package. I then provided them with the post office information and requested a refund again. This time they stopped responding. I want my refund, please.”
Another customer stated in their complaint, “I researched him and found tons of articles and lawsuits and posts about him doing this exact thing and scamming people, also doesn’t send out goods. Then when the customer asks about it, he blocks them. He’s also fraudulently using the **** by printing the label then telling customers that the post office lost their order, so file a claim. He’s using Shopify platform to scam people. He sent out some orders to try to make it look legit, but there’s TONS of customer complaints. This guy is a fraud and scam. Never followed him to learn all of this stuff beforehand. I don’t want his trashy cookbook or business. Just a refund and [he] shut down. He also takes customers’ personal information and posts it online.”
The BBB rating and accreditation rated the company an F following the series of complaints.
Regarding the BBB warning, Williams told FOX 5 Atllanta, “I don’t care.”
DariusCooks, LLC, run by Williams, is a self-taught cook and food personality with a heavy online presence selling cookbooks, apparel and accessories.
