Charlotte Hornet’s player Miles Bridges is being charged with felony domestic violence after allegedly attacking his wife last week.
Bridges’ wife and mother of his two children, Mychelle Johnson, shared a lengthy post on Instagram with photos of her beaten and bruised body after the alleged attack.
On July 1, she wrote, “I hate that it has come to this but I can’t be silent anymore.”
“I’ve allowed someone to destroy my home, abuse me in every way possible and traumatize our kids for life,” Johnson continued, pointing at Bridges.
“It hurts my heart because I’ve always had hope and so much love, and as scary as this is for me to do, it’s time I stand up for myself. I won’t be silent to protect others anymore because I value myself and my kids more than anyones’ image’,” she wrote.
She continued to detail the extent of her injuries, including a fractured nose and wrist, a torn eardrum, torn neck muscles from strangulation, and a severe concussion.
Johnson concludes the post, insisting that she is not looking for sympathy but wants “this person” to receive help so their children do not suffer.

One of the images Johnson shared appears to be a document from a hospital emergency room diagnosing Johnson’s injuries.
“Adult victim of physical abuse by male partner; assault by strangulation; brain concussion; closed fracture of nasal bone; contusion of rib; multiple bruises; strain of neck muscle,” the document reads.
The attack happened on June 27 after the two allegedly argued. On June 29, Miles Bridges, 24, turned into the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) just hours before the NBA’s free agency window was set to open.

Bridges’ was charged with felony domestic violence but later released on a $130,000 bail.
The Charlotte Hornets released a statement regarding Miles Bridges, which reads,
“The Charlotte Hornets are aware of the situation involving Miles Bridges. We are in the process of gathering additional information. We will have no further comment at this time.”
