A Texas family’s grief has been compounded by the tragic shooting death of a six-year-old girl in Pasadena.
According to KPRC, Laurionne Walker was shot numerous times by 35-year-old relative Raymeon Means for spilling water inside the apartment where she lived with her family.
On Friday morning, police were called to the little girl’s home after reports of multiple shots fired. The family’s neighbor Mauricio Álvarez detailed the incidents leading up to the shooting to KPRC.

He said he saw the man, who’s related to Walker, aimlessly walking around. Means, then, knocked on his door.
“He knocked on the door, and he was like, ‘Oh, can you check if you have water coming down because the little girl clogged the toilet,’” Álvarez told KPRC.
The neighbor said he heard people arguing soon after.
“[The family member] was banging on a car. The woman upstairs had a knife, and they were saying, ‘Get out of here. Get out of here!’” he explained. “[Later] he went running upstairs, and we heard like 4-5 shots, and he started running, and we started hearing screams.”
Walker’s family members called paramedics, and the little girl was taken to Bayshore Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
The six-year-old girl’s family is devastated.
Damien House, Walker’s uncle, expressed his grief over the senseless shooting.
“All I can say to my sister, ‘I’m here for her.’ I can imagine what she’s going through because we’re all going through the same thing,” he told KPRC.
On March 16, the news outlet reported that a drunk driver killed a mother and her three children in Spring, Texas. Porschia Branch, 28, and her three boys– ages seven months to five-years-old died in a fiery crash after 35-year-old Daniel Canada slammed his vehicle into the family’s car.
House was the father of the three children killed by the intoxicated man and Walker’s mother’s brother.
The girl’s grandmother was still in shock.
“I am out of words. I’m choked up right now,” said Earline House told KPRC.
Means has been charged with capital murder in connection to Walker’s shooting death. He is in jail with no bond.
