Christina Burns, the mother of the young internet sensation Antwain Fowler, says she plans to honor her son’s legacy by opening a restaurant named after his most infamous catchphrase sometime soon.
According to TMZ, Burns will name the restaurant ‘Where We Bout To Eat At,’ which will feature many signature items named after Fowler’s food-related catchphrases that he often shared with his fans through Youtube and Instagram videos.
Burns said opening a restaurant had been a dream of hers long before the family’s viral moment. However, as a mother of two other children, in addition to Fowler, she had to put that dream on hold and focus on Fowler’s needs since he was diagnosed with Auto-immune Enteropathy shortly after birth; she couldn’t find the time, TMZ reported.
Sis2Sis previously reported, there has been a GoFundMe account created for Fowler since March of this year. Since the six-year-old’s death on Nov.21, Burns said she plans on using the $22,000 that was donated from fans who adored the little boy, totaling the amount to $72,000. Additionally, the $50,000 was raised to pay for Fowler’s treatments to regain muscle mass in his body. Instead, Burns said the donation money would be used to pay off lingering medical expenses accrued throughout his life. He has been in and out of the hospital since he was four months old.
“The first four years of Antwain’s life was an everlasting fight and very crucial experience for his family,” Burns explained in her GoFundMe intro. “Through unlimited prayers, faith, and doctors working around the clock, Antwain is progressively healing; and truly grateful for all that he’s accomplished thus far.”
Fowler’s mother provided details surrounding his death along with his final moments.
Burns said she was home when she heard the young boy’s ventilator alarm go off. Usually, Fowler would alert his family when he’s in pain or experiencing discomfort. However, this time was different; he remained silent, TMZ reported.
She said police and the paramedics exercised all possible measures to resuscitate him, but unfortunately, he passed away at the hospital.
Burns dedicated her life to bringing joy to Fowler during his short life. Before he passed away, they spent the day together in Miami last week at an ice cream parlor.
