A white woman was arrested after she was caught on video assaulting a 12-year-old Black boy at a public swimming pool on July 6, International Business Times reported.
Brown was with her infant son and two older children when a white woman at the pool refused to let her enter with her children and blocked the entrance. A bystander recorded video of the altercation, and Brown posted it to Tik Tok. The video begins as Brown tells the unidentified Karen she was at the pool the previous day. Karen is apparently a member of the Homeowners’ Association pool committee and did not want the kids in the pool.
“I came here yesterday ma’am, you know who I am and [unintelligible] my children,” said Brown.
When her son opens the gate to go into the swimming area, Karen pushes the 12-year-old back and blocked him. Brown then yelled for the woman not to touch her son as she handed her baby to her eldest boy in an attempt to protect her pre-teen from the pool police.
“Don’t you put your hands on my son!,” she yelled. “Don’t you ever, ever put your hands on my son.”
When Brown said that she would call the police on her for assaulting a minor, Karen dared her to.
“Actually I will call the police and have you arrested for putting your hands on a minor,” said Brown.
“Go ahead,” said Karen.
“You’re going to jail cause you just put your hands on my son,” Brown said as Karen gave up blocking them from entering.

The woman who recorded the video did so because Karen apparently has a penchant for banning non-white children from the swimming pool.
Brown later said that the police were inclined to believe the racist woman until they saw the video of her assaulting him. She added that the woman had lied to the officer about touching Brown’s son in an attempt to use her privilege, but Karen was arrested after police viewed the video.
The mother posted the video to Tik Tok five weeks after it occurred, and it was quickly viewed more than seven million times on social media.

Brown also posted a video on Tik Tok with an update and noted that the woman had requested a public defender. A court date for the woman is scheduled for Aug. 20.
