All hell broke loose at Miami International Airport (MIA) on Tuesday after a 25-year-old American Airlines passenger showed her a** to a ticket agent after realizing her two small children wandered off.

According to CBS News Miami, Camila McMillie was traveling from Alabama back to New York but had a stop at MIA. She had made her way to the gate with her children after missing a flight. She arrived at the American Airlines counter to check in for her upcoming flight when she realized her children had left the area. Instead of going to search for them, McMillie allegedly assaulted the ticket agent by throwing a video monitor at the person. The 25-year-old distressed woman also ripped the boarding pass reader off its base while screaming at the employee.

“While the subject was with the gate agent, her two minor children walked away without notice to use nearby restrooms. Once the subject noticed the children were not with her, she became irate and began to scream, demanding the gate agent to find her children,” police said.

The ticket agent reportedly wound up with a bruised shoulder after McMillie chucked the computer monitor at her.

McMillie was detained by Customs and Border Patrol and released to Miami-Dade police, where she was taken into custody at MIA.

Witnesses spoke with CBS Miami about the harrowing incident.

Trudy Hooker, who was traveling to the Bahamas with her husband Ernie, said, “My reaction is that I think this was a little overboard. She should not have acted so quickly like this.”

Ernie Hooker responded, “This was too violent. She should have taken more time to find out where her kids were. The person behind the counter had nothing to do with her kids wandering away. Someone could have gotten hurt.”

Another passenger, who solely identified himself as Jim, said, “This was just an overreaction, but it was a dangerous one.”

McMillie was charged with criminal mischief, aggravated battery and disorderly conduct. She stood before Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Mindy Glazer on Wednesday. Glazer upheld the charges against the woman and set her bond at $4,500.

American Airlines responded to the incident with a statement.

“Acts of violence against our team members are not tolerated by American Airlines, and we are committed to working closely with law enforcement in their investigation. Our thoughts are with our team member, and we are ensuring they have the support they need at this time.”
