Angel Reese Unbothered By Critics Amid Her Mom’s Social Media Beef With LSU’s Flau’Jae Johnson’s Mom

With fame comes hate, and LSU forward Angel Reese knows much about that, as the latest social media frenzy showed. But she clapped back at haters.

The Neighborhood Talk posted screenshots of Angel’s mom’s Instagram story that seemingly took shots at the mother of her daughter’s teammate, Flau’jae Johnson, calling out her “grammatical errors.”

“Folks, [please] do not send me long text [messages] with a bunch of grammatical errors. It gives me a headache. How do I know you said what you said if I can’t understand what you’re saying,” Angel Webb Reese, the LSU star’s mom, wrote on her IG story.

Flau’ Jae Johnson’s mother, Kia Brooks, clapped back on her Instagram story, spewing a shocking allegation about the 21-year-old’s education.

“You definitely know about grammar errors when your daughter got a 2.0 or less GPA,” Kia wrote. “And in fact, when writing your smart message, you didn’t capitalize nor did you use any periods. Stop being petty, fake and hateful. And take responsibility for you and your daughter’s actions.”

Kia continued, “[You’re] just as responsible you raised her that way. Nobody gives a damn who you think you are since you came off another’s brand. Just like God gave it to you, He will take it right away. Always stay humble and never forget who made you and where you came from!”

On her private X account, Angel’s mother affirmed she never criticized Flau’Jae or her mother in her IG story post.

“Unlike some, I would not nor have I ever directly or indirectly criticized another child on social media. I have a life outside of my kids, and my posts often reflect that.”

The back and forth commenced last week, with many critics slamming the 21-year-old forward, claiming her recent fame boosted her ego and assuming her inflated ego impacted her education.

Before Flau’Jae and Angel’s mom’s beef, LSU Tigers women’s basketball coach Kim Mulkey announced Angel was away from the team but wouldn’t explain why, leading many to think Kia’s low GPA allegation had something to do with it.

Amid all the chatter, Angel showed her haters that their words didn’t impact her.

She took to TikTok to flaunt her beauty with coach Deion “Prime” Sanders’ viral “opinion” speech.

“What about me would make you think that I care about your opinion of me? Your opinion of me is not the opinion I have for myself. You ain’t make me, so you can’t break me,” Coach Prime said in the audio.
