Arizona Mom of Five, Cleopatra Johnson, Shot And Killed At Phoenix Bus Stop

A family is devastated after a 45-year-old Arizona mother was shot and killed as she waited on the city bus on Friday night.

Cleopatra Johnson leaves behind five kids who are desperate for answers after their mom was shot and killed in Phoenix.”

Cleopatra Johnson’s body was discovered at a West Phoenix bus stop, according to AZFamily. The news outlet

reported that Cleopatra’s five children want to know what happened to their mom. Phoenix police responded to shots fired and, upon arriving at the public bus stop– they found Cleopatra dead from a single gunshot wound. Authorities alleged that the violent act may have been random.

Johnson’s ex-husband, Kobie Morton, said he “couldn’t believe it at first — I thought it sounded unreal.”

Kobie told AZFamily, “Someone took her life for no apparent reason.

I’m going through a lot of pain right now. My kids just lost their mom, so basically, I’m going through a lot of emotions.”

Daughter Zenajah Morton asked the public to pray for her grieving family. She also added that Cleopatra’s death is especially hard for her because of the last conversation with her mother before she was murdered.

Zenajah said of the last time she talked to her mom, “It wasn’t on a good note, to be honest. That’s why it hit me harder.”

Auzia Morton launched a GoFundMe to help pay for the woman’s funeral expenses. Donations total almost $8,000 of its $10,000 goal.

Phoenix police have yet to identify the person responsible for the murder. They are asking that witnesses come forward with any information leading to the capture of a suspect. The number to call is 480-WITNESS.

Our prayers go out to her family.
