Atlanta Airport Offering Direct Flights To Wakanda In Celebration Of ‘Black Panther’ Sequel Opening

The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport changed their flight announcements the day before the premier of the Black Panther sequel to honor the special occasion. On a November 10 flight heading for the special screening, the airport declared they would have direct flights to Wakanda.

According to a Twitter post from the airport that read, “Breaking News: Hartsfield-Jackson announces the return of direct flights to Wakanda!”

The entirety of the attached announcement read, “Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport announces a return to international service with direct flights to Wakanda. This non-stop service on flight CHBZ will depart from the Maynard H. Jackson International Terminal from Gate F8 at 7:30 PM this evening.”

It continued to add that “Concession locations will serve Wakandan-inspired dishes pre-flight.”

This isn’t the first time that the Atlanta airport showed up and showed out for the franchise either, as they made similar changes to their announcements back in 2018 when The Black Panther debuted

As reported by WSBTV Atlanta, there was a significant showing of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hosted by Disney. The studio used the film to give grants and scholarship money to support marginalized communities who make up non-profits and participate in art programs worldwide to empower their voices in the creative world.

The film found great success the opening weekend, earning $84 million on just its opening day and as the close of the weekend comes around; it is settled with $180 million at the box office.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has carved a spot as the top-grossing film over the opening weekend at the box office for the month of November.
