Ben Carson Calls Biden’s Plan To Appoint First Black Woman Supreme Court Justice ‘Abominable’

Former Housing Secretary for the Trump Administration Ben Carson called President Biden’s pledge to appoint the first Black woman Supreme Court Justice “abominable.” Carson accused Biden of playing identify politics with the appointment.

Biden pledged to appoint the first Black woman to the Supreme Court after Justice Stephen Breyer announced his retirement on Jan. 25. The president added that the person would also have “extraordinary qualifications, character and integrity.”

Uncle Ben predictably took issue with the announcement and accused Biden of dividing the country through identity politics during his appearance on “The Vince Coglianese Show.”

Carson said people should be incensed.

“This is America,” said Carson. “Many people fought and gave their lives to bring equality, and now we’re reverting back to identity politics. And as we continue to do that, we’re bringing more division into our country. If he can do that, then who else can do it in the future using the criteria that they want and completely ignoring all the progress that’s been made? It makes absolutely no sense, and I hope people will be incensed about it…. To create that kind of situation in the highest court in the land is really abominable and very detrimental to our freedoms.”

Dr. Carson is a former neurosurgeon at Johns Hopkins University Medical Center. However, he has made several obtuse political statements. The former Trump appointee claimed that most racism came from the left and that the damage during the Holocaust would have been diminished had the citizens all had guns to fight Hitler.

“I’m not sure I agree that there isn’t a fair amount of racism here,” he said. “There is, but it’s not where you would expect it to be, it is mostly with the progressive movement who will look at someone like me, and because of the color of my pigment, they decide that there’s a certain way that I’m supposed to think. And if I don’t think that way, I’m an Uncle Tom and they heap all kinds of hatred on you. That, to me, is racism.”

“I think the likelihood of Hitler being able to accomplish his goals would have been greatly diminished if the people had been armed,” he said. “I’m telling you, there is a reason these dictatorial people take the guns first.”

Carson also made flippant comments about living in the “Gestapo age” due to political correctness and compared Obamacare to slavery.
