Brandi Rhodes Jacks A Ford Focus From A Nashville Grocery Store With A Sleeping One-Year-Old Inside

A woman is on the run, and a one-year-old boy is safe and sound after being taken when the vehicle he was in was stolen. 

Fox 23 reported that Brandi Rhodes, 33, jacked a Ford Focus from the parking lot of a grocery store in Nashville. Nolan Ishimwe was in the backseat in a car seat. She also had a small dog with her.     

When the crime occurred Metro Nashville Police Department posted it on its official Twitter account.

This is the woman suspected of stealing the 2013 blue Ford Focus w/ a 1-yr-old boy in the back seat from the Inglewood Kroger. If you see Brandi Rhodes, 33, or the car bearing TN tag 8R66F2 pls call 911.”

 

An Amber alert was issued early Thursday by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

AMBER Alert: Please keep an eye out for one-year-old Nolan Ishimwe, who was last seen in Nashville in a blue Ford Focus, with TN tag 8R6 6F2. It was last seen in the Gallatin Pike area. There is no known clothing description or direction of travel. 1-800-TBI-FIND.”

 

According to police, his parents were inside the supermarket when the Ford Focus was taken.  Upon leaving the grocery store, Nolan’s parents called the police.

Authorities said a good samaritan reported seeing the vehicle shortly after midnight. 

“Nolan was found safe, asleep in the car,” police said in a statement posted on Twitter.

Rhodes is still at large.

Anyone who sees or knows the whereabouts of Rhodes is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Calls to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous.

It’s not known if the parents will face charges for leaving little Nolan in the car alone.
