How To Get Fired: Security Kicks Antonio Brown Off Football Field At Albany Empire Game, The Team He Owns

A viral video showed a security team forcing former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wideout Antonio Brown off the MVP Arena field at an Albany Empire game, a team he owns.

Brown posted the video on his Twitter account, writing, “Still I maintained a level of professionalism positivity while dealing with this security today! First Game AS AN Owner #StayEncouraged.”

The embarrassing moment for the security guards happened at the Albany Empire’s game against the Orlando Predators, which they won 70-33. Brown walked the end line greeting and interacting with fans. One white security guard told the person filming the tiff that they had to leave the field. He told the security guard that Brown owned the stadium.

“No, he doesn’t,” a security guard said off-camera.

One of the guards approached Brown and said, “Get off the field right now.”

Brown told the security guard that he wasn’t going anywhere.

“You’re going off the field right now,” the guard said.

“Make me, then. Do it,” Brown challenged.

The former Pittsburgh Steelers player informed the guard that he was the owner, to which the clueless minder replied, “Naw, I don’t think so. But you can get off the field.”

He told the guard to go get his “people,” meaning those in charge of him. He added, “Let’s see who got the bigger muscle.”

If the security guard had researched, he would’ve known that the former Majority owner of the Albany Empire of the National Arena League (NAL), Mike Kwarta, had ended his affiliation with the team. Brown assumed 95% ownership.

Brown’s majority ownership was announced Wednesday, but before the announcement, he was part owner alongside Kwarta since early March.

The former NFL player retweeted a screenshot of MVP Arena manager Bob Belber’s deleted Facebook post saying Brown owned 95% of the team.
