Republican Rhode Island Congresswoman Patricia Morgan is in the news after she posted a racist tweet on Twitter that said that she used to have a Black friend. Morgan claimed that her Black friend was now hostile towards her for being white.

Morgan also blamed Critical Race Theory for the demise of her supposed friendship.

In her wayward attempt to denounce Critical Race Theory, which teaches the real truth about slavery and its impact on racism in society, Morgan revealed her racist a**.

“I had a black friend. I liked her and I think she liked me, too,” wrote Morgan. “But now she is hostile and unpleasant. I am sure I didn’t do anything to her, except be white. Is that what teachers and our political leaders really want for our society? Divide us because of our skin color? #CRT.”

Former writer for The Root Michael Harriot began the hashtag with his brilliant response to Karen’s tweet.

“We should get #IHadAWhiteFriend trending I, too had a white friend. But now he is hostile and unpleasant. I am sure it wasn’t me. All I did is speak truthfully about the history of the country we live in. Is this what happens when you use seasoning? #IhadAWhiteFriend.”

And with that, Black Twitter did what it does and lit the platform up with hilarious responses with the #IHadAWhiteFriend hashtag. Twitter users noted the rampant racism in the country while also mocking Morgan and the saltine set.

“#IHadAWhiteFriend, I liked her and I think she liked me, but she became hostile and belligerent when I pointed out racism exists and destroyed her illusion that the civil rights era ended racism forever.”

Actor George Takei also weighed in and noted the internment camps white Americans forced Japanese Americans to live in during World War II. Another Twitter user wrote about the genocide of Native Americans by white people.

“I had a white friend. I liked him and I think he liked me, too,” said Takei. “But then Pearl Harbor happened and whites became hostile and unpleasant. I am sure we didn’t do anything but they sent us to camps anyway. And now they don’t want to teach about this because it make kids feel bad.”
