Ca’Shawn “Cookie” Sims, a fitness influencer on Instagram, has gone missing, and her family is reaching out to the public for help.
Sims is a fitness trainer with over 200,000 Instagram followers and goes by the moniker “The Booty Doctor.”
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department put out an alert on social media on Oct. 4 describing Sims and asking that anyone with information about her whereabouts contact them.
Over the weekend, Sims’ sister Chris’tol took to Instagram and said that the influencer was known to enjoy her solitude and is very independent.
“As we’ve recently started living in separate places, I do not have day-to-day access to her,” she said. “I’m trying to make sure she’s okay and will exhaust every option.”
However, yesterday, her other sister, Ca’rynn, took to her own Instagram page, offered more details about Sims’ tattoos and other identifying marks, and explained the odd nature of her sister’s disappearance.
“Please be on the lookout for finding my sister to ensure that she’s okay and safe. She has abandoned her home, her dog, and seemingly her phone, which is unlike her,” she said.
In the post, she added, “I never thought there’d come a day of me posting a missing flyer for my sister. We want her covered in prayers, God’s grace, and to know that she is whole, well and alive.”
Her sister asked that people in every city be alert, and if they see Sims wait with her until a member of her family is contacted.
Those who have information that may lead to locating Sims are encouraged to call the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Missing Persons Unit or Crimestoppers if they wish to remain anonymous.
