Instagram Model, Miss Mercedes Morr, Found Dead In Alleged Murder-Suicide

On August 29, Instagram model Miss Mercedes Morr was found dead in one of the Cortland Apartments located in Richmond, Texas, after what appeared to be a murder-suicide.

Along with the body of Morr, born as Janae Gagnier, Richmond police discovered the body of Kevin Alexander Accorto in the home. He was suspected of killing the model.

According to Click2Houston, police reportedly do not believe there was a relationship between the suspect and the victim.

Although it is assumed to be a murder-suicide, Fort Bend County Medical Examiner’s autopsy report will officially determine the cause of death for Morr and Accorto.

Neighbors interviewed were shocked at the news.

”What I thought was safe, it seems, is not. We have so many rules and so many guidelines I would never expect someone to breach our security and someone be murdered on this property,” said Roderick Shaw, a resident.

“It’s safe over here; we have the gates, the fence, you got to have a code to get in a code to get out, I’m just in shock,” said Edna Swist, another neighbor.

The U.S. Sun reported that rapper Tory Lanez took to his social media and shared his condolences for the young influencer only a few hours after her passing.

“Rest in peace, Queen,” the artist said on his Instagram story, with a photograph of her.

Lanez wasn’t the only one; following the tragic news, Morr’s friends began to flood her Instagram comments section with their condolences.

Bow Wow, also grieving his friend,  commented under Morr’s latest post, saying, “Stop playing. We just spoke on Thurs. Don’t do me like this, yo! Naaa.”

“Mercedez, I’m so sorry, you did not deserve this at all,” one person wrote. “You had your whole life ahead of you.”

The investigation is ongoing to determine a motive for the murder.
