Krystal Duhaney And Husband Hide $1,000 In Baby Items At Los Angeles Target Stores

Sharing is caring, and nobody knows that, like Krystal Duhaney and her husband. The California nurse decided to share the spirit of giving by hiding $1,000 in various baby products at Target stores in the Los Angeles area. The gesture was a way to support a group that tends to struggle a lot– new parents.

“When we had our first child, we struggled to make ends meet, just like most new parents,” said Krystal.

The registered nurse and mother of two is also the owner of Milky Mama. The company provides support for breastfeeding women worldwide. The “mompreneur” posted the video of herself and her husband running their good deed errand.

“Before I founded @milkymamallc, we often struggled to make ends meet,” Duhaney said. So, Hubby and I went to various @target stores in Southern California and hid money in baby items. We hope that the parents that purchase these items have a brighter day when they find our gifts.”

The philanthropic effort is more necessary than many realize. In 2018, The Nation

reported that one-third of families in the United States suffered from “diaper need” where they were poor to afford the costly but necessary baby item. The COVID-19 pandemic only made the problem worse. Duhaney and her husband may have done much more of a service than they realized.

Formula, one of the products that Duhaney can be seen placing money in, is also another critical item that many families in poverty lost stable access to during the pandemic.

Duhaney and her husband went to a few Target locations, including one in Signal Hill, one near Manhattan Beach and one in Carson.

With just $1,000, the couple demonstrated one of the most important virtues: kindness.

“As parents raising two young children, it’s really important for us to let our children know kindness matters and that you never know what somebody’s going through,” Duhaney said.
