White Man Arrested At Disney World After Refusing Temperature Check Whines, ‘I paid $15,000.’

Kelly Sills, a Louisiana man, refused a standard temperature check at Disney Springs, an area in Walt Disney World Resorts. After being asked to leave by a deputy for not following Disney’s COVID-19 precautions, he was immediately arrested

, according to USA Today.

The arrest occurred mid-February when Sills tried to enter one of Disney’s restaurants. The 47-year-old man allegedly bypassed the temperature checking area, refused the screening and would not leave even after both Disney employees and deputies asked him to.

The cantankerous man also made a scene in the restaurant, according to the Washington Post. Once a security guard confronted him about not attending the temperature screening, he began yelling. It wasn’t until police on the scene informed him that he would be charged with trespassing did the Baton Rouge native begin to change his tune.

Visiting Florida with his family, Sills paid for their travel, hotel rooms and admission to Disney World. Mentioning the hefty price tag he paid for his Florida vacation, he allegedly told officers, “You can’t trespass me if I paid $15,000.”

But Sills and his white privilege couldn’t have been more wrong. Police kindly escorted his whiny ass off to the Orange County jail in Orlando, Florida, that night.

Fearing jail time, Sills tried to backtrack as officers escorted him out of the restaurant, telling them that he would get the temperature check if it meant he didn’t have to leave. An officer replied back, “They’ll do that at the jail.”

In an exclusive interview with the Washington Post, Sills claimed that he would have gone through the necessary screenings, but he accidentally walked in through an exit instead of the entrance.

Yeah…okay.

Sills has since pleaded not guilty to his trespassing charge.
