Mexican Kidnapping Survivor, Latavia Washington McGee, Got Arrested For Enabling Her Daughter In Catfight With A Gun

Mama said knock you out!

Latavia Washington McGee, a Mexican cartel kidnapping survivor, was arrested on April 14 for her involvement in a catfight between her minor daughter and an unidentified juvenile.

The incident occurred

on February 17, prior to her kidnapping in Matamoros, The New York Post reported.

Armed with a “small black pistol” that she pulled from her purse, McGee accompanied her daughter, along with her mother, to a fight with another child at an apartment complex in the 1300 block of Spivey Street, South Carolina.

The students confronted each other with McGee present, though it was short-lived when a relative intervened.

Returning to the scene with her mother, child, and a gun, a fight broke out this time between the children, the two older women, and relatives of the other child.

In the free-for-all chaos, the armed McGee “started waiving it around,” the Myrtle Beach Police Department said in a report after a warrant was issued for McGee, 34, on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a child.

“This charge was in no way related to the torture and death that [McGee] went through,” her lawyer, Mark Simmons, told The Daily Mail. “We believe that the police department was doing its job. We are grateful for the hard work the police department does, but we do look forward to the charge being dismissed.”

On April 16, she was released on $10,000 bail.

As previously reported, on March 3, McGee and three men she identifies as her “siblings” were kidnapped in the Mexican border town of Matamoros, which is in the northeastern state of Tamaulipas just south of Brownsville, Tex.

The cartel members opened fire on the group’s vehicle, killing a Mexican woman and wounding one of the Americans.

McGee and Eric, the only ones to survive the situation, told CNN‘s Anderson Cooper that they refused to have sex with each other – a strange demand the captors wanted to see – after they allegedly lied about being related.
