Mother Fatally Stabs 3 & 11-Month Old Sons In New York

A 24-year-old New York woman, Dimone Fleming, stabbed her two sons, Deshawn and Octavious, to death. At three years and 11 months old, both boys succumbed to their neck and upper body injuries. Witnesses who saw Dimone leading up to the fatal stabbings at 246 Echo Place, a homeless shelter, said that she was acting oddly.

On November 26, the two children were tragically found by their father in the apartment’s bathtub under a pile of clothes.

According to the NYPost, police arrived on the Bronx scene in response to a call from a concerned neighbor after they saw Dimone acting “irrational [and] erratic.”

A man waiting for a taxi across the street described Dimone pacing outside before the police were called. “She was walking and stopping and turning around and walking and stopping with both hands on the back of her head saying, ‘What I did?! What I did?!’ I went up to her and said, ‘Miss, are you OK?’ and she stopped and looked at me, her face was crazy, and then just kept walking back and forth, stopping and saying, ‘What I did?! What I did do!?'”

She was found nude and attempting to set fire to her kitchen. After their mother was taken to the hospital, the two boys’ father found his sons at around 8 PM.

A nearby neighbor recalled hearing the father screaming when he made his horrific discovery.

“He was screaming hysterically,” She said.

“He was screaming, ‘help me!’ And I came and opened my door, and I see him coming down the hall with the two boys in his arms,” She continued. “They were dead. They were dead. There was blood everywhere; it covered them.”

Despite best efforts, the babies died regardless of resuscitation attempts. Dimone was described as disturbed before Saturday’s murders, and the father was said to be kind.

“He’s very polite. He always holds the door for me and my son. He has a job. I don’t know what he does, but I know he works. She just looked like she was never in the mood. The mother– she just always looked like she was out of it. She just looked like she was always sad,” a bystander disclosed.

Dimone is in Bronx police custody and under investigation for the killings.
