Olympic Gold Medalist Jasmine Camacho-Quinn Cheers On Brother NFL Player Robert Quinn Who’s Headed To The Super Bowl

NFL player Robert Quinn has supported and cheered for his sister as she worked to become a track and field Olympic gold medalist. And now Jasmine Camacho-Quinn is doing the same thing for her brother as he goes for a Super Bowl ring in Arizona against the Kansas City Chiefs on Feb. 12.

Camacho-Quinn and Quinn came from parents who were athletes at Charleston Southern University, Maria Camacho and James Quinn. But, unlike their parents, the two worked toward becoming professional athletes, which paid off.

In 2021, Camacho-Quinn won Puerto Rico its first gold medal in the Olympics after dominating the 100-meter hurdle race. She also got an Olympic record of 12.26 seconds during the 100-meter hurdle run semifinals. She ran for Puerto Rico because he mom, Maria, is a Puerto Rican.

Before becoming a champion, Camacho-Quinn faced hardships in her career. In 2016 she was disqualified for tripping over hurdles—one of the lowest moments of her life, before grinding even more to be successful.

Quinn congratulated his sister on her gold medal win during practice with the Chicago Bears.

“It was about hurdle number five [or] six, I seen her start to pull off,” Quinn said at a press conference. “I know my phone went flying this way, and I ran up to the screen, and I could see her starting to pull away, so I don’t know, it’s still settling in on me.”

He concluded with, “That’s my baby sister. She’s an Olympian, I don’t know. I can brag about that, I guess. She won against everyone in the world and beat them. I just want to see the gold medal in person. I’m waiting on her to get back.”

Quinn has played for the Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins for one season, while he played for St. Louis Rams for five seasons, Chicago Bears for two seasons, Los Angeles Rams for two seasons and Dallas Cowboys for one season. Now, he plays for the Philadelphia Eagles, headed to the Super Bowl this month and playing against the Chiefs.

Camacho-Quinn tweeted about her brother going to the Super Bowl.

“My parents witness me in Olympics & now my brother in the Super Bowl in a couple weeks! LFG!!!” She tweeted.
