Simone Biles is The First Woman Athlete to Get Her Own GOAT Twitter Emoji

Nearing the start of the Olympics, Twitter already recognizes Simone Biles’ amazing achievements with the launch of a new GOAT (greatest of all time) emoji specially created for the 24-year-old Olympian.

According to People, Biles is the first Olympian to have ever received a custom emoji from Twitter.

Whenever users post messages with the hashtags “#SimoneBiles” or “#Simone” throughout the Olympic Games, Twitter will automatically populate the emoji.

Fans have taken to the new emoji with tweets gassing the outstanding athlete up.

The only other athletes with GOAT emojis are male athletes like Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes.

The first time Biles was seen flashing the GOAT design, which she and her fans named “Goldie,” on her leotard was in 2019 during the U.S. Gymnastics Championships that year in Kansas City.

Then earlier this year, Biles wore custom leotards decorated with silver rhinestones in the shape of a goat head during the U.S. Gymnastics Championships.

Although she’s been claiming the look, Biles told the outlet that it’s all been a “running joke.”

“I don’t think of myself as the G.O.A.T., and that’s not why I wear the goat on my leo. It was kind of a joke in the beginning. I wore one in 2019, and it was just funny because the haters were so upset,” she said.

“What we did is to kind of tick them off even more. So I was happy because it’s like good, now you guys are annoyed because you’re annoying me,” she added.

The U.S. women’s gymnastics team, a group of six women, is looking like they’ll be coming for the gold!
