‘SNL’ Gets Boost in Ratings Thanks to ‘Bridgerton’ Star Regé-Jean Page

SNL’s ratings have been soaring lately thanks to a run of Black hosts.

This past weekend’s episode with Bridgerton star, Regé-Jean Page, gave the ratings a shot in the arm that only the “Duke of Hastings” could bring and a little of that Shondaland sexy to boot – which SNL spoofed, of course!

Page is among a series of Black hosts who have given SNL some of its best ratings in years. These guest spots include hosting duties by Dave Chappelle, who brought in the show’s highest ratings in three years, Issa Rae and Regina King. Page has helped those ratings soar even higher.

Reporting by Deadline says Page’s episode, “drew a 4.2 rating household Live+Same Day rating in the 44 metered local markets and a 2.0 adults 18-49 rating in the 25 markets with local people meters.”

According to Bustle, Page is one of the most sought after actors in Hollywood, following a breakout series that debut just two months ago.

Page was featured in almost every sketch, including a Digital Short featuring Ego Nwodim in which she’s rapping while hallucinating and imagining Page in a club.
