Tampa Rapper Arrested In Connection To Shooting Death Of 22-Year-Old Alana Sims After Discovering She Was Pregnant

The man who is allegedly responsible for the death of a young Tampa mother has been arrested and charged with her murder.

Billy Adams is accused of fatally shooting 22-year-old Alana Sims in front of her 18-month-old son on January 30. On February 8, the suspect was detained and charged with first-degree murder and killing an unborn child. Billy reportedly admitted to killing his pregnant girlfriend. The Tampa rapper reportedly murdered Alana three days after being acquitted of killing two men in Lutz, Florida. He allegedly killed the woman because she was pregnant with his child. The 18-month-old toddler that he left unharmed hasn’t been confirmed as his.

Major Mike Stout of the Tampa Police Department told Fox News 13 that the suspected killer didn’t seem remorseful but was polite.

“I didn’t find him remorseful in watching my detectives do the interview, no,” Mike said. “He did not want to be in her life anymore and was not ready to have a child, is unfortunately– how it appears to us. Anytime that we have a dead mother that’s 22 years old and an 18-month [baby] in the car feet from her body for some time before she was discovered, it’s awful.

The officer revealed that Billy allegedly lured Alana to her death by inviting the five-month-old pregnant woman to “a party” to celebrate his acquittal in the double homicide in Lutz.

Alana’s mom, Shahlevi Sims, hopes justice will prevail in her daughter’s homicide case. The young mother would have been 23 on February 13.

“Justice has been served. I mean, I can’t bring my daughter back, but at least we know that the monster that did this was set behind bars,” Shahlevi said. “And maybe he would think now of what he’d done. If not, may God be with him.”

Alana was found dead next to her car in a New Tampa neighborhood.

“My closest sibling. That was my best friend. I told her everything. We did everything together,” Carli Williams, the victim’s sister, said. “She always had a smile on her face. Was always positive no matter what. Alana, she was like a mother to all of us. Even makes the joke, even though I’m older than her, she was taller than me.”

The GoFundMe account her mother started has raised almost $16,000. The goal was $4,000.
