Terri Bankhead And 8-Year-Old Daughter Found Bound To Bed And Shot To Death In St. Louis

Twenty-seven-year-old Terri Bankhead and her 8-year-old daughter, Da’nilya Edwards, were found shot to death in St. Louis on August 11, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

Bankhead’s mother found her daughter and granddaughter bound to a bed inside their apartment.

Another woman, twenty-six-year-old Victoria Manisco, was also found murdered in St. Louis the same day, and authorities believe that 18-year-old Prinshun McClain is responsible for all three murders. Manisco’s body was discovered on her porch with several puncture wounds.

The St. Louis Police Department said that McClain was arrested in Granite City, Illinois (a St. Louis suburb) and detained while the warrants for murder were processed. A motive for the murders has not been established at this time.

Bankhead and Edwards were murdered in the Fairground neighborhood of St. Louis, while Manisco was found in the Carondelet neighborhood of St. Louis.

St. Louis Police Chief John Hayden spoke at a press conference about the murders prior to McClain’s arrest and asked for help from the community.

“This is very tragic. It’s just too much for anyone to bear, so we’re asking the community to assist us and provide us with information,” said Hayden.

Sha’Greggria Brown is Bankhead’s cousin and said that Bankhead, whose nickname was “Shug,” was loved and had a good sense of humor. Brown told KSDK that she couldn’t believe that Bankhead was

gone.
