TikTok Food Critic Saves The Day, One Restaurant At A Time

A TikTok food critic is making a big impact on the Las Vegas food scene.

Keith Lee, also known as @keith_lee125 on TikTok, is an influencer who has made a significant contribution to the food industry, specifically in Las Vegas, where he resides. His food review videos are not only entertaining but also informative and educational.

On January 19, Lee posted a video sharing a story about a food truck owner parked in Las Vegas.

In the video, he describes how he was able to change Gary Shanks, owner, and chef of Southern Taste Seafood’s life.

“Today I spent $450 on a burger. Let’s try it and rate it 1 through 10,” Lee said in the video.

Lee explained he was on a bike ride when he saw the food truck. “The foodie in me got interested immediately,” Lee said. “So I said, ‘Let me go see what they’re talking about.’ I thank God that I did.”

“He told me he’s just trying to survive right now. It’s very slow. He’s lucky if he gets five to 10 people in,” he continued.

“I went live the other day with Miss Shirley, passing out food to the less fortunate. During that live, you sent $450 worth of gifts. I took all that money, and I sent it directly to his Cash App,” Lee said.

Lee rated the fries an 8.5 out of 10 and the burger a 9.5 out of 10.

“Delicious. It was juicy; it was cheesy … immaculate,” Lee said. “Especially to be a place that don’t specialize in burgers. He makes seafood!”

It didn’t take long before Shanks’ business started booming. According to Lee, so many people were sending Shanks money he had received $30,000 within 24 hours.

“It’s God-sent,” Shanks said in an interview. “That’s what I’ll say.

Lee’s platform continues to help small businesses attract new customers, and his support has helped many business owners to keep their heads up during these trying times.
