It serves as a reminder of the strength and creativity we had developed despite the challenges faced during the centuries-long Atlantic Slave Trade. The design of the flag incorporates red and black diagonal lines, representing our struggles and triumphs while the fig leaf surrounding a blunt edge sword signifies the protection and preservation of our cultural heritage.

The flag represents the rich culture and history that Black Americans have created in the United States, even in the face of adversity. It serves as a reminder of our contributions and throughout history and the need to continue honoring and preserving our heritage.
