Two-Year-Old Child Prodigy Isaiah Gyamfi Learns Languages Overnight

Two-year-old Isaiah Gyamfi is a child prodigy who can learn a new language overnight, according to his mother, Jazelle Gyamfi

Gyamfi, an early childhood education teacher in London, says that Isaiah began watching educational videos on her cell phone at five months old. She said she was surprised by how fast he picked up information from the videos.

After the toddler watched a Japanese video several times, Isaiah had learned the numbers. His mother was amazed and thought she had heard him wrong when he repeated things back to her.

“I was first taken back and thought, ‘did my eight-month-old just call out letters?’ I remember just laughing nervously, but I was so excited and wanted to hear it again,” she said. “I thought maybe it sounded like he said the numbers and letters, but he actually said something else. But he continued to say it, which confirmed what I thought. I remember telling his dad when he got home from work I took Isaiah to the wall where the letter and number stickers were; when he called them out, we both stood there just laughing.”

Gyamfi began documenting her son’s brilliance on Instagram, and the child prodigy soon added music to his learning list. He can already count, read and write in English, French, Spanish, Japanese and Twi. He even learned how to count in one language in 24 hours.

Isaiah’s mom captioned one of her Instagram posts of her young son multiplying by 2s.

“Isaiah began focusing on numbers since he was around 8 months old. He’d spend all day pointing them out, then by the time he was about 10 months he could identify numbers up to 50. Flash forward to now, at age 2 years and 4 months old and has been learning how to count by 2s, 3s, 5s, 10s and 100s! I finally managed to capture a video of him counting by 2s 😅🌎 All completely self taught 💪🏾.”

Isaiah will be three in two months, and we can’t wait to see what the adorable genius learns next! You can watch more videos of Isaiah here.
