VIDEO: Wisconsin Officer Plants Drugs On Black Man

A Black man has accused a Wisconsin police officer of trying to plant drugs on him and has a video as evidence.

The man, who goes by GlockBoy Savoo on Facebook, posted a video showing what appears to be a traffic stop and an officer tossing a bag of drugs in the car.

According to TMZ, the officer is from Wisconsin’s Caledonia Police Department. The video shows him approaching the car quickly while tossing something into the back seat. Savoo, who was capturing the footage, asked the officer what he threw in the car.

The footage then goes to the back seat for a close-up shot of what looks like a small baggie.

The video has since gone viral and has been circulated on the internet. Members of the black community were in an uproar.

Savoo and the officer have a short back-and-forth before the video cuts out:

“Ay bro, what’s that?” Savoo asked after the cop.

“What’s what?” the officer replied.

“What you just threw in here,” Savoo said. “I got you on camera, bro.”

“I got you on camera. We’re all good,” the officer said.

Savoo turns around in his seat to point his camera at the items in the backseat of his car. “Ay bro, you just threw that in here!” he said.

A voice off-camera that seems to be the officer’s replies, “Yeah.”

Savoo captioned the video, “First time ever seeing a cop try to throw sum on me just to get reason to search the car💯 he ain’t even know I was recording 💯 you can tell he was nervous 💯.”

Wisconsin’s Village of Caledonia Police Department responded via Facebook, issuing a statement that they’d be spearheading a full investigation and pulling body camera footage, dashcam video and officer testimonies from those on the scene.

Since the incident, Christopher Botsch, Caledonia’s Chief of Police, has updated the public on the situation. The last update included body footage from one of the several officers involved.

Botsch wrote, “We are still in the process of reviewing the videos.”
