Walt Disney World Resorts Implement Stricter Rules In Response To Uptick In Fights

Walt Disney World Resort has applied new updated warnings and rules for Guests who purchase tickets to their Central Florida park. To curb violent and disruptive incidents occurring at the resort, the guidelines listed on their website have become more clearly strict than ever, in addition to the section labeled “Know Before You Go.”

The newly added guidelines under “Courtesy” say, “Be the magic you want to see in the world. You must always remember to treat others with respect, kindness, and compassion,” The message continues to specify what will happen to those who don’t follow the specifications of conduct expected from all patrons of the park. Walt Disney World resort concluded the message, “Those who can’t live up to this simple wish may be asked to leave Walt Disney World Resort.”

The warning applies to all of the previously listed rules of the park, some of which pertain to disruption already but none of which include the added threat of removal that the newest addition does. Some of the rules are as follows: “Please show common courtesy to fellow Guests and our Cast Members by not using profanity or engaging in unsafe, illegal, disruptive or offensive behavior, jumping lines or saving places in lines for others. For your safety and the safety of others, please refrain from running except in designated areas.”

The park continued to prohibit any patrons from “Engaging in any unsafe act or other act that may impede the operation of the Walt Disney World Resort.”

The new rules are not at all surprising for a park that was documented to have an attendance of almost 60,000 visitors per day this year and a slew of reports of fights and altercations breaking out on its premises.
