Pelicans star Zion Williamson and his girlfriend Ahkeema are expecting a baby girl.
“June 3rd I invited all my family and close friends to help us celebrate 🎉 our new addition to our family,” Rose, the username who is identified Ahkeema on her Instagram page.
On June 3, Williamson and his girlfriend threw a gender reveal party at his mansion, but it was reported and shared on Twitter on June 6, with some users excited that the NBA player got a Black woman pregnant.
For context, Williamson has been labeled by some users as a simp, a man who does stupid things for a woman’s approval, with some of his online activity leaked online.
Before he was drafted to the NBA, a white UNC student exposed the then-Duke basketball star for wanting to sleep with her. Another woman, presumed to be white, recorded a private video call of Williamson without his shirt.
To make matters more interesting, his current Black girlfriend is said to be a professional gold-digger and stripper who allegedly sold illegal credit privacy numbers to people, and a second woman, a porn star named Moriah Mills, claims to be pregnant with Williamson’s child as well. Ahkeema and Moriah Mills have apparently been subtweeting each other, The New York Post reported.
Moriah Mills also leaked Snapchat messages that were allegedly from Williamson. In one Snapchat leak, it was revealed that Williamson offered to pay her every month.
The gender party video was posted on YouTube, where users shared that Williamson, who is recovering from an injury and has been the subject of ridicule as some users fat-shamed him for gaining weight, is seen optimistic in the video.
Williamson has been out of the NBA since January 2 as he recovers from a strained right hamstring.
He is a former Duke basketball player who signed a lucrative contract worth $193 million for 5 years, with the potential to earn up to $231 million in July 2022.
Unfortunately, he missed the entire 2021-22 season due to a surgically repaired right foot fracture.
And with his new baby on the way, there is no telling how that might affect his comeback on the court.
Regardless, the 22-year-old forward does not seem bothered by the odds.
“My baby, you’re going to see this at some point,” Williamson said. “I don’t know what the future holds. But mommy and daddy love you. If you don’t know nothing else in this world, know that mommy and daddy love you.”
Ahkeema’s YouTube page goes by the name Rose, too.
The gender reveal party was held in the backyard of the mansion. Guests were treated to a delicious dinner prepared by a chef, a bar, baby games, and lots of blue and pink desserts.
The couple had their own table, decorated with a heart-shaped rose centerpiece and a sonogram photo, while guests dined under white tents.
The couple also showed their gratitude to their guests by giving them goodie bags.
