Da’Naia Jackson Opens Up About Finding God Following Divorce From Derrick Jaxn

Da’Naia Jackson, who previously underwent public humiliation following a divorce announcement from Derrick Jaxn, has opened up about deepening her relationship with God since the messy separation from her estranged husband.

Jackson took to Instagram on March 7 to share an emotional video of herself backed by a gospel track and a lengthy caption about dealing with the public criticism and Jaxn reportedly “destroying [her] soul.”

She began the post, “When the man you love & have kids with destroys your soul with reckless decision-making, you must CHOOSE to be alone with God. When your heart has been shattered & reshaped into something that doesn’t quite feel normal inside your chest, with mental, emotional, & soul pain that is unbearable, there is only ONE MAN who can fix it, & that is the HOLY SPIRIT.”

The 32-year-old’s video was accompanied by several Bible verses and moments of her heartbreak: reading the bible, crying, praying, smashing a picture of her and her former husband, and writing a to-do list that includes her new normal.

“When you are suffering so much that each next breath seems excruciating, & you don’t know how you can live without that man while at the same time being angry with that man because he has crushed your spirit due to his unconscious [eggplant],” Jackson wrote. She added that she drifted further from God while attempting to justify Jaxn’s treatment towards her.

“If you have heard, ‘God hates divorce,’ & using that for strength to ‘work it out’ with a man who continuously ‘choose.’ You have made an idol of that man, you are people-pleasing, & you’re out of order in the sight of God. Married or not. And this requires repentance & renunciation.”

As Koryn Hawthorne’s “Speak To Me (Queen Mix)” featuring Queen Naija played, she continued,

“One thing God ‘hates’ more than divorce is a woman with a destroyed soul idolizing a man who does not have the power to destroy her soul and body in hell fire (Matt 10:28).”

Jackson described dealing with a lot of trauma from Jaxn’s very public betrayals. Still, she’s learned how to heal through her new relationship with the lord. Jackson admitted, “My secret to surviving public mockery, scrutiny, scandal, betrayal, and dishonor is surrendering to the Lord. Are you ready to go through the process of becoming whole again?”

I’ve learned that He is made strong in my weakness, & it takes Him a nanosecond to heal what natural world therapy would take years to “manage” with side effects known as “triggers.” When God comes to heal, He heals completely, there are no side effects, & “triggers” are disarmed & powerless by His Power.”

As previously reported by Sis2Sis, Derrick Jaxn, who ironically worked as a relationship coach, filed for a divorce from Da’Naia Jackson divorced after he was spotted with another woman in Miami while still married to Jackson. Jaxn announced the news of the divorce back on December 10 of last year. He wrote, “Earlier this year, after much prayer, counseling, and deep consideration, we decided to go our separate ways and filed for divorce.”

The media frenzy that followed the public separation was difficult for Jackson, who shares two children with the former relationship advice guru.
