Influencer ‘The Budgetnista’ Scores Netflix Documentary Teaching Financial Literacy

Influencer Tiffany’ The Budgetnista’ Aliche has scored a Netflix documentary teaching financial literacy titled Get Smart with Money.

According to Essence, Aliche took to Twitter to make the announcement on Aug. 29.

“THIS IS NOT A DRILL! I have a documentary on @Netflix premiering Sept. 6!” she tweeted. “It follows four people on their financial journey with the help of financial coaches. GO TO NETFLIX NOW and find Get Smart With Money. Watch the trailer and add it to your list! #GetSmartwithMoney #netflix.”

Netflix’s official website said the documentary provides “lessons on how to live a richer life beyond your bank account.”

“Pairing real people with financial gurus over the course of a full year, this entertaining and informative feature feels like Queer Eye for economics,” the site indicated. “From a bartender living paycheck to paycheck to a family wondering if they can retire early, these stories carry plenty of practical take-home advice for everyone, as well as lessons on how to live a richer life beyond your bank account.”

Aliche shared a clip of the latest episode via an Instagram post and encouraged her followers to tune into her show.

“Pssst! Ever felt a little confused about your money? Or even a little embarrassed about what you do/don’t know about money?” she wrote on Sept. 8. “Surprise… we ALL do at some point or another! That’s why I’m soooo excited that my new @Netflix documentary, Get Smart With Money, is finally here. It’s proving to be such a great conversation starter amongst families…amongst friends… accountability partners… and even with parents talking money with their children.”

The New Jersey native and former preschool teacher for ten years reportedly created The Budgetnista and has helped over two million women globally. She reportedly guided her followers to save more than $350 million, pay off over $200 million in debt, purchase homes and transform the way they think about their finances, her website says.
