Lakeisha and Katelyn Jackson Celebrate Grand Opening Of SGH Apparel At Upscale Los Angeles Mall

A mother and daughter team has become the first Black American women to launch an athleisure clothing store at an upscale mall in Los Angeles.

SGH Apparel, short for “She Got Hustle,” opened at the   Topanga Mall on July 30. Lakeisha Jackson and her daughter, Katelyn,

started the lifestyle brand to cater to women making moves. SGH Apparel offers sports bras, leggings, shorts, tees, crop tops, tanks and more.

The inspiration behind the brand came from Lakeisha’s hustle. Although she had Katelyn when she was  16-years-old, the determined mom graduated from high school and college before becoming an accomplished businesswoman.

Outside of being one of the owners of SGH Apparel, LaKeisha has a lucrative tech firm, is a government contractor and a supplier for Google.

Following in her mom’s footsteps, Katelyn recently graduated from California State University, East Bay, with a Bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communications.

About SGH Apparel, Lakeisha said the designs offer versatility.

“Our designs feature go-to pieces that any woman can slip into at any given time that represent what any girl wants to present to the world. Once you step outside of your closet, these bold pieces allow the inner, fierce boss lady to come through.”

The apparel is made from breathable, high-quality fabric and can also be ordered online
