Stephen Curry Names Himself The No. 1 Point Guard Over Magic Johnson, ‘I’mma Rep Myself, For Sure’

Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry gave precedence to himself by point-blank stating he was the No. 1 point guard over legend Magic Johnson on the Gil Arena podcast.

Around the 27:33 mark of the podcast, Arena asked Curry if he was the best point guard ever, and he responded with a “yes.”

“It’s me and Magic?” the Warriors star queried. “Is that the conversation?”

Arena conceded that the stats placed Magic above Curry but expounded that Curry significantly influences the youth. The 35-year-old point guard agreed.

“I really feel like Magic’s resume is ridiculous,” Curry said. “So the fact that we’re even having that conversation, it’s a place I never thought I’d be in.”

The 35-year-old claimed No. 1 over Magic because he stated he’d always “rep himself regardless of what the stats say.

Arena posted the clip on X, and many NBA fans had mixed feelings about the point guard’s brazen statement.
