UPDATE: 24-Year-Old Spring Breaker Found Dead In Miami Beach Hotel Identified As Christine Englehardt

This past Sunday, two spring breakers from Greensboro, North Carolina, were arrested and accused by police of drugging and raping a female victim. The previously unnamed victim has now been identified as 24-year-old Christine Englehardt, according to the Miami Herald.

News Onyx previously reported that Englehardt died last Thursday morning in her Miami Beach hotel room, where her body was discovered. Evoire Collier, 21, and Dorian Taylor, 24, were arrested on Sunday and charged with sexual battery and petty theft. The two are also

accused of stealing Endlehardt’s money and using it before their arrest.

Collier initially told police that he and Taylor did, in fact, know the young woman and that they had met her at a restaurant. He also confessed that his partner in the alleged crime gave her a “green pill,” which he believed was Percocet. Investigators are still trying to uncover if the victim died from an overdose and if the two North Carolina men are at fault.

The suspect told police he “went along with [Taylor] as they planned to have sex with the victim,” The pair allegedly sexually

assaulted the victim, even as she became unconscious.

Christine Englehardt, a Richboro, Pennsylvania native, is now remembered by family and friends as a kind, happy young woman. Samantha DiFrancesco, a close friend, has set up a GoFundMe page for Englehardt so that her family can afford funeral costs and travel expenses for court appearances.

Anyone who knows this beautiful girl knows that she had the biggest heart there was, and her laugh was nothing short of memorable,” she wrote on the GoFundMe page. “She would do anything for a person in need and was always fun to be around no matter what.”

Social media has also been rocked by the tragic news out of Miami Beach, with many users commenting on senseless and heartbreaking it is. One Twitter user somberly

wrote, “They say Hell is empty, & all the demons are here. Apparently, they vacation in my state. I am beyond disgusted, angry and saddened.”

Many more social media users also sounded off about the sad details surrounding the case.

Collier and Taylor are being held without bond.
